Net World Sports Founder & CEO Alex Lovén was recently named Business Person of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Held on the 1st of December in Bangor University’s Prichard Jones Hall, the ceremony celebrated the achievements of businesses and entrepreneurs based in the North Wales area.
Hosted by BBC presenter Jennifer Jones and Fast Growth 50 founder Dylan Jones-Evans, the event concluded with Alex Lovén receiving the highly coveted Business Person of the Year Award.
The award was presented by Professor Oliver Turnbull, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Bangor University.
On presenting the award, Professor Turnbull stated:
“Our winner of the Business Person of the Year this evening has shown the true spirit of entrepreneurship – building a business from scratch that is now a multi-million-pound firm employing well over 200 staff…the business he started in 2009 now posts annual sales of £70m with a significant chunk of those sales exported across the globe – something we are determined to do more of here in Wales.”
