We recently supplied Brazil’s National Women’s team as they prepared for the first-ever Women’s Finalissima 2023. The Finalissima is a revived FIFA competition, involving just one game, which pits the winners of the European Championship against the holder of the Copa America.
The Lionesses secured their place in the new FIFA tournament, via their win at Euro 2022, with eight-time Copa America winners Brazil representing CONEMBOL, following their 2022 triumph. This match played a key role in the preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup this summer, with both sides reaching the knockout stages in 2019.
To best prepare their goalkeepers ahead of the game against world-renowned England strikers, including Alessia Russo and Chloe Kelly, the Brazil national team looked to Net World Sports to provide new and innovative goalkeeper training equipment. We provided the team with various products from our goalkeeper range, including FORZA Tackle Bags, RapidFire Rebounder, FORZA Air Mannequins, FORZA GK React Footballs and FORZA Single Line GK Ball Deflector.
The Finalissima was held in a sell out crowd in London, as both sides took the game all the way through to a nail-biting penalty shootout which saw England win 4-2 and clinch the trophy at Wembley.
